Botox

Botox, or Botulinum Toxin, is commonly used to eliminate the visibility of wrinkles and lines in the facial muscles. It is injected right into the muscle and works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles and lines, thus making them drastically diminish.

The effects of Botox generally last three to six months. The injections are done in-office by Dr. Thompson, and do not require any anesthetic. The most common areas treated with Botox injections are the forehead (frown lines), eyebrows (which can provide a temporary ‘brow lift’), around the eyes (crow’s feet) and laugh lines.

After patients receive a few treatments the effects of Botox generally last longer, reducing the need for more frequent injections
