Surgery is performed under either local or general anaesthetic so there is no pain during the procedure. Subsequently, you may feel mild to moderate pain. You will be given a pain medication to control it.

How long is the recovery period?

Recovery time depends greatly on the type of procedure you have. For a facelift, most people return to work after 2 weeks. After breast augmentation, most people can return to work and resume most activities within 3 to 7 days. However, you should not undertake vigorous excercise for 2 weeks after surgery.
