Liposuction

Liposuction is a common procedure that is often used in combination with a number of other procedures (such as a tummy tuck, breast reduction, thigh lift or breast lift). It can also be completed as a procedure on its own.

Liposuction is a body contouring procedure and is not intended to act as a weight loss procedure. It alters the shape and contours of an area of the body but the procedure does not promise to eliminate or improve the appearance of cellulite. The procedure works by removing excess fat from deposits located between the skin and muscle.

Bruising and swelling are common symptoms following liposuction, but vary depending on the patient, the amount of fat removed and the size of the affected area.
